Personal Statement
My name is Lyla Weir, and I'm a student-athlete at Center Grove High School and play for MFL. Inspired by my brother's passion, I began playing lacrosse in 3rd grade. I made varsity as a defender during my freshman year but transitioned to midi. While I primarily play defense for my fall and summer team, I am versatile enough to run the ball over if needed. To maintain my endurance, I joined cross country and also started speed and agility training to keep up with the attackers. Despite my commitment to lacrosse, I prioritize my academics and maintain a 3.7 GPA as a dual-enrolled student.
