Personal Statement
My name is Lucia Santiago and I am an aspiring Ivy League Volleyball player and journalist. I am an 11th grade, A+ student at The Clinton IB World School, in NYC. I am the new editor for the Clinton Post and have many other diverse interests. I completed the Brown University 2022 STEAM and 2023 BELL programs (Alaska). I have played volleyball for only 3 years but a former AAU basketball player prior. I am very athletic and have an insane vertical jump. I am quick with superb hand eye coordination and thrive in competition. I have risen up on NYC Juniors and was on the 15N team for the 2022 Nationals and played 16T as a starter and all around player for the 2023 Nationals. Volleyball would be a rewarding responsibility to continue my family legacy at an Ivy League University.
