Personal Statement
Athletics and academics have always been a big part of my life. Playing competitive club sports reinforced the value of hard work to continuously improve and discipline was required to also excel in the classroom. Being a good athlete cultivated a dream of playing college sports. I was tested during the ages of 12 to 15, when the boys I played sports with grew earlier and were much taller and stronger than me. Undeterred, I kept playing baseball and started playing football at Loyola High School of Los Angles, to get stronger. During the past year, I completed my manamorphosis, grew substantially, have been training for 4-5 hours per day and reclaimed my throne on the sports field. I will continue to work as hard as required to be a scholar athlete and college baseball player.
