Lola Fernsten

I began volleyball in 2018 for fun and loved it. Prior I was a competitive swimmer in Southern California. I decided to commit my training to volleyball in 2019 but was unable to continue indoor due to the pandemic and moved out to the beach. As a sophomore in 2020 I was able to begin indoor training playing club and JV high school, while maintaining my love for beach. I have focused all my attention on training as a setter and middle blocker to help me be a well rounded player. I am a proud special education student, having been diagnosed with dyslexia in 2014. I have maintained a high GPA in all CP courses, also taking dual enrollment courses at my local JC. I have become an advocate for students with differences and have been active in bringing SO Unified Sports to my high school.
