I clearly remember the very first time I ever held a bat in my hands. That's when I knew I had fallen in love. From the beginning I knew softball was the sport I wanted to play in college. When I went to my very first practice, I saw all the girls and how good they were compared to me, so I worked harder. Every single day I would do some type of softball activity to make sure I was progressing. Eventually, I started to become as good as the girls I played with and realized my passion was still growing for the sport. As a sign of early progress, I was asked to play up into a higher age group which only drove me to work even harder. I still try and outwork all the other girls I play with to try to give myself any advantage I can to make my team better!
