Personal Statement
Swimming has opened a window of opportunity to me that I am grateful for. I have been a competitive swimmer for the last 7 years, and plan to swim for a college that pushes me to my full potential academically and athletically. I am the Senior Athlete Rep for the Stingray Swim Team, and the boy's Team Captain for my high school varsity swim team. I swim mid-distance and distance freestyle, as well as IM. For three years in a row, I was awarded Most Valuable Swimmer for my club team for scoring more points than anyone else in those seasons. My academic/career interests lie in biology, nutrition, and human health. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends, cycling, fly fishing and other outdoor activities.
