Personal Statement

My name is Layla Lagunas. I am currently a forward/ midfielder playing for Hymax club in Baltimore, Maryland. I am currently am a 2024 and I attend Manchester Valley High School where I am a multi sport athlete doing field hockey and wrestling. I made varsity sophomore and junior year and was a JV captain before that. In school I am currently involved in Student Government and a member of Student Leadership Conference. I’m interested in studying Nursing in college. I’ve loved field hockey ever since I started playing and i’ve always wanted to get better and continue to grow. I am a dedicated and hardworking student-athlete and I am interested in continuing to play field hockey in college.
