Personal Statement
My name is Layla King, I grew up in New Jersey and moved to Charlotte NC my freshman year of high school. This was my fourth year on the Ardrey Kell High School Varsity volleyball team where I was named team captain. I was also named on the 2024 AVCA All American Watch List and on the NCVBCA 2024 All Region Team. I am competitive, supportive of my teammates, have great energy and will give my all on and off the court. I am extremely passionate about volleyball as it has taught me so much about hard work, determination and never giving up on myself. I am coachable and constantly working to improve my game. My goal is to play collegiate volleyball in 2025 and study Journalism/Public Relations. My club team this season is 18 Mizuno at Carolina Juniors Volleyball Club.
