Personal Statement
My name is Laila Henderson, and I love every aspect of volleyball, including the competitiveness of the sport, the rush of adrenaline, and the relationships I've formed with teammates and coaches. I started playing as an outside hitter and currently play right side/DS at A5 Gwinnett on the 15-1 National Team. I am a committed, driven, passionate, vivacious, versatile volleyball player, and coachable student-athlete. Both on and off the court, my infectious energy and leadership qualities are highly valuable, and they have often contributed to my team's success. My goal is to improve both my skill level and volleyball IQ during my career, and I'm looking forward to becoming a part of a collegiate program that combines academic achievement with elite volleyball.
