Personal Statement
Hello, I am Kennedi Boomsma and I am a sophomore at Brandon Valley High School, SD and I play RS/MB for the Varsity volleyball team in the highest division in SD (AA). In the 2023 H.S. Season & so far in 2024, I have started every match and I was the team leader for blocks in 2023. Our team was ranked around 12th for most of the season in 2023, but we worked hard and ended up going to the State tournament and placing 6th overall! For club volleyball I play for Kairos Elite Volleyball. In the 2024 club season I was on 15 Alpha/Open and I mostly played RS but sometimes MB. Our Kairos team placed 5th in Open division at AAU Nationals in 2022 & 2023!! My volleyball training has challenged me to improve teamwork, skills, strength, nutrition, and mental toughness.
