I believe that running has taught me so many things, in and out of school. It has shown me that one can accomplish many things in life as long as you show up, put the work in, and works hard even when no one is looking. As someone who was the girl who got lapped every practice, I have made drastic improvements to go from the slowest to one of the fastest. Throughout my track and cross country career, I have balanced playing club soccer, Dual Enrollment, and AP classes. This heavy balance has taught me various things, but I believe the most important thing is to distinguish priorities and sacrifices. I love running and I believe that with a more balanced, knowledgeable, and focused training schedule, I have much potential to improve my skills and record over the next few years.
