Personal Statement
I'm Katie Janssen a 2024 catcher, first base, utility softball player & my ultimate goal is to play college softball at the highest level. I have played competitive softball since I was eight years old. I was a varsity starter from 8th grade to present for Earlham High School. I caught 36 varsity games my freshman year (2021) and the majority of those games was with my older sister a senior pitching. Earlham was second in Class 2A State Tournament & the experience was amazing, I love playing school ball because of the community connection & ultimately something more than myself. I still love playing travel ball because it helps me get better by improving my skills & it opens up great opportunities. I plan to work as hard as I can to achieve my ultimate goal to play college softball.
