Resilient, determined, competitive. My aspiration for success and commitment to rising above failures and setbacks define me. Academics are of utmost importance to me but my athletics has shaped me. From the sports that I have played, I have gained respect, pride, and friendships that will last a lifetime—encouraging words from my dad before every competition continue to guide me and although simple, they carry endless meaning and can be interpreted as more. “Have fun, don’t suck,” is the motto I follow in my everyday life, and I hope to continue to incorporate it into my future.
