Personal Statement
Kaitlyn, daughter of former Iowa Hawkeye All-American, Brandi Macias, is a workhouse in the circle who features a strong biting peel drop, elite changeup, rise, and drop-curve, that keeps hitters off-balance. Kaitlyn is a stand-out pitcher under the tutelage of legendary pitching coach Rich Balswick and former All-American pitcher and college coach Anjelica “Jelly” Selden. Kaitlyn has enjoyed sustained success in the circle against elite competition and has helped her team qualify for PGF Nationals every year since 2018 to include a 7th place finish at PGF Nationals (14U) in 2021 and a top 5 finish at PGF Nationals (10U). Kaitlyn is a 4.0 student.
