Personal Statement
Hi! My name is Julia York, and I am a 6’1”/150 lb setter for MOD volleyball club and Loyola Academy in Wilmette, IL. I graduate in May 2025. I have been named to the JVA Watchlist three years in a row and an AVCA Phenom for two years in a row! It is my goal to play collegiate volleyball at the highest level while being challenged academically. I also am very passionate about my podcast "Your Body Has Other Plans" on Spotify. I've always been curious about athletes’ mindset, healing through faith, healing though medicine, and healing through art. On my podcast, I interview athletes who have faced season ending injuries in their sport and explore what brought them comfort.
