Personal Statement
Hello coaches! My name is Julia Matan. I live in Berlin, Connecticut and I am part of the graduating class of 2025 for Berlin High School. I've been playing softball for 10 years and my love for the game just continues to grow stronger every year. I also play varsity volleyball for my high school. In 21 games during our 2023 spring high school season I batted .479 with 29 RBIs, and had a 1.144 OPS. I also had a .964 fielding percentage with 167 total chances. In 40 games during the 2023 travel season I batted .470 with 50 RBIs and an OPS of 1.132. I am extremely interested in majoring in Biology. I am looking forward to the process of finding my dream school that is a fit for me both academically and athletically.
