Personal Statement
Greetings. I am James Holmquist (I have been called J.R. my whole life). I started playing lacrosse in first grade and joined my first competitive club team in 4th grade. I love the sport for the physicality and tactical planning it takes to play the game at a high level. I pride myself on being a student of the game as I listen and learn from my coaches and I watch lacrosse games as much as I can. I am a very coachable athlete and I am a leader on and off the field and my strongest leadership quality is leading by example. I am a physical player and put my heart into every play whether I am on the field or on the sideline. I enjoy this same challenge in the classroom and my academic schedule includes AP and honors courses.
