Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Josie Ives, and I am the varsity goalie for Dewitt High School and Triumph 23/24 Aces. I fell in love with lacrosse in 5th grade and although being on the field is fun, I felt most a home in the crease. I was a varsity starter since my freshman year and was honored to be nominated for "Rookie of the Year" my freshman year and "Most Improved" my sophomore year. In addition to lacrosse, I participate in swimming and marching band. I take pride in my academics and have worked hard through in-person and virtual learning to achieve a 3.8 GPA. I also volunteer at my church and the humane society. In college, I am interested in majoring in law and political science. My professional aspiration is to run for public office with the ultimate goal of being a U.S. senator.
