Personal Statement
My name is Josh Kempf, a class of 2026 student-athlete at Goochland HS. I’ve played baseball since I was 4 years old and ever since I started t-ball I have loved the game and enjoyed being part of a team. My goal is to continue playing as long as possible. I am primarily a first baseman, but can play anywhere in the infield. This fall, I was a reliable part of IYG's pitching rotation and played multiple positions, based on what my team needed. I am also a very coachable person who will listen, follow instructions, and respect others. I also work hard in the classroom, keeping a good GPA. I’m part of the Advance College Academy (ACA) program at GHS where I will also earn an Associate Degree from Reynolds Community College by my high school graduation. I plan to major in computer science.
