Personal Statement
I genuinely love competition. I remember playing “HORSE” with my Dad until dark because I didn’t want it to end. I am hopeful my competitive journey lasts much longer. I have always been taught to not quit and stay humble. I know so many great things have been accomplished by others less fortunate than me. It reminds me to never think too highly of myself. I competed as a gymnast for 10 years. My trainers said I was very coachable. I like to think my soccer coaches feel the same. I take the sport and my commitment to teammates very seriously but still enjoy playing the beautiful game as much as when I was a kid. I try to pick others up with my words and lead by example with my actions. Like most people, I’m trying to get better each day as a family member, student, friend and athlete.
