Personal Statement
My name is Jeremy Diaz. I am in the graduating class of 2023 at Townsend Harris H.S. in Flushing, New York. I am a bilingual student athlete and have been playing baseball since the age of 5. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I attended a baseball academy in the Dominican Republic for 5 months while completing my high school classes online. Going to the Dominican Republic enhanced my love for the game and helped me improve my Spanish. I was selected to play the trombone in the All-City Latin Jazz Ensemble which meets every Saturday and recently had the honor of performing with them at the famous Birdland Jazz Club. I have an affinity for science and mathematics and would like to study Economics and Finance. My goal is to attend a highly academic college program and play competitive baseball.
