Personal Statement
My name is Janelle Smith. I am 8th grader, c/o 2029. I attend McConnell Middle School in Loganville, GA. I am 5’3” tall. I am in my 4th year with Aftershock VC. I am a versatile player, but my strengths are as a DS/L. I am coachable, respond well to feedback, and I am a good leader and teammate. I have been team captain for club and middle school volleyball. In 2024, I played on the SRVA High Performance 15U team and served as floor captain during our All Star tournament in Des Moines, Iowa. I am in enrolled in the Gifted classes at my school and am on the Principal’s List for maintaining all As. I was selected as a “Student of the Month” for exhibiting characteristics that reflect my school’s values. I absolutely love volleyball and playing in college is my ultimate goal.
