Jaiden Downey

I started playing volleyball competitively after my sophomore year. I played club soccer before that. I was picked up as a utility play and my first club coach saw me messing around setting and she told me that she wanted to make me a setter. I never looked back. I spent everyday of the summer in a gym or at a lesson learning to be a setter and all the techniques that are needed and better understanding of how to manage the games and learning different hitters styles and how to adjust to them. I love seeing my teammates succeed and love that I get to be a part of that. I am focused and driven. I am direct and candid and appreciate coaches with are also that way. I love feedback because it helps me learn and I don’t think you should ever stop learning.
