Personal Statement
I was drawn to the goalie position because it utilized my natural strengths: focus, fearlessness, discipline, and aggressiveness. My athleticism and diligence are strengths which I bring with me into the cage and which have helped me excel. My high school years have also consisted of competitive speech and debate, traveling with a highly selective touring choir, playing drums in my youth group band, participating in Fire Cadets, and raising 2 dogs for Guide Dogs for the Blind ( for which I received the Presidential Service Award - Gold Medal ). I am currently pursuing my EMT certification. I enjoy fitness, weightlifting, and being outdoors. Many people in my life have helped me get where I am and I have a strong desire to give back and help others, especially my teammates, succeed.
