Personal Statement
I started playing volleyball when I was 10 years old. As a setter and DS, I am always communicating with my teammates. This has helped me learn more effective communication skills, and has taught me to be a stronger leader. Outside of volleyball, I enjoy volunteering and learning more about the study of medicine. I plan to further my study of medicine by working as a volunteer at Moffitt Cancer Center this summer. When I am not studying or playing volleyball, I spend time shadowing physicians to learn more about medicine, relaxing at the beach, or discovering a good book.
