Personal Statement
Hello – My name is Benito Ghio and I have been playing club soccer since I was 5 yrs old. I love the competitive level as it continually challenges me athletically. I currently play on the Pateadores (Irvine) Academy ECNL Team. I am also a varsity team member for my high school and in my first year was awarded “Defensive MVP”. I also participated in in the CIF playoff as the only freshman member of the team. In the past I was a member of the WCFC Development Academy coached by Jerry Tamashiro prior to his departure to coach the UAE World Cup Team. I am a member of “Lions Heart” community outreach. As a member I have received the Presidential Award for outstanding service commitment. Additionally, I am a leader at my church for the summer vacation bible study group.
