Gavin Smith

Ever since I was a little kid, I have loved playing baseball. I have pitched and played middle infield my whole life. Recently I have been focusing more on being a pitcher. Right now, I throw in the mid-80s off the mound and have hit 90 mph on a pull down. I really enjoy the mental aspect of pitching and pride myself on my command, defense, and doing the little things well, like holding runners. My Dad pitched in college and my grandfather in the minors, and it has been a dream of mine to play baseball at the highest level that I can. I have worked very hard on trying to become the best baseball player that I can be and hope to continue to do that in college. I believe I still have the ability to become a better player and hope to be able to work to become that better player in college.
