Personal Statement
I started playing volleyball in 7th grade and immediately fell in love. Although soccer took up my free time for a lot of my youth, it didn't speak to me like volleyball did. In 8th grade was when I started taking volleyball seriously and to the next level. I would spend hours outside in the summer heat just to get another rep, or to teach myself how to jump serve. After starting club, I felt the happiest in the gym, and my family supported me immensely. I hope to compete in college because I don't want this amazing sport to just be "something I did for fun" it is truly a part of me and has shaped the person I am turning out to be.
