Emily Kate Beach

I began Lacrosse as a freshman in high school, and immediately loved it because of the similarities I noticed it shared with basketball. Basketball has helped me develop many skills as a defender in lacrosse, such as having field vision and quickly identifying patterns and plays in the opposing team’s offense. I also grew up playing competitive softball, and although I have recently decided to not play anymore, it has helped me recognize the importance of many skills for lacrosse such as generating power, quickly changing directions, and bouncing back from failure. Notable classes I take in school include AP United States Government, Honors French 4, and Honors Environmental Engineering.
