Ellie Thurman

Volleyball has been a big part of my life growing up. My mom coached at a local high school and later community college, so I grew up spending a lot of time in the gym. I joined my school's elementary team when I was 9. At that time, I also started playing sand doubles. I joined my first club team when I was 11. At that time, I became a setter. Since that time, I've played with the same club team (Vegas United), high school team (Green Valley Christian) and recently returned to competing in sand. Our club team has remained within the top 25 in the Power/Premier league in Southern California the past 3 years. My high school team won state in 2022. On both teams, we run a 6-2 offense; I enjoy setting and hitting.
