Personal Statement
I come from a volleyball family that takes academics very seriously. My mother has been my biggest influence both athletically and academically. She was an All-American volleyball player in college, is a member of her college Athletic Hall of Fame and went on to become a medical doctor (neonatology). I envision myself doing similar things. My dad played football in college and is a police officer. My sister is my biggest fan. They have all instilled in me a strong work ethic and I consider myself to be highly motivated. I plan to play college volleyball at the highest level, study hard and possibly go to medical school myself. I am interested in science, especially virology. I look forward to my future in volleyball and in academics.
