Personal Statement
My name is Elena Stone, and I am a Class of 2025 starting Pin Hitter and DS for my high school varsity team and nationally ranked club team. My ultimate goal is to play at the college level for a D1, D2, or D3 program that fosters a team family environment and provides a balance between academics and volleyball. Through injuries and hard training throughout my volleyball career, the standard I live by has always been "hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." Even when things weren't on my side, or I had challenges in my skill or relationship with the sport, I have always been grounded by the fact that hard work and love for volleyball will get me through. I am truly grateful for the character and physical growth that volleyball has provided me with over the years.
