Duchess Jackson

I have had the privilege of being raised in the nation's capital with a view of the US Capitol building from the end of my street. I enjoy dancing, painting, singing, and writing poetry. I also enjoy nature walks and sunsets and began photographing them for fun. I discovered lacrosse in second grade as a school enrichment and later played with a rec team. I started playing regularly in middle school where I also began playing field hockey. Besides sports and arts, I love history, psychology, languages, and politics. I aspire to combine my loves to become a neuropsychologist or legislative lobbyist for mental health advocacy. I also want to become fluent in 3 languages and currently speak French. For community service, I volunteer with my old rec team and prepare meals for those in need.
