Personal Statement
Hello Coaches, My name is Devin Gerena, a 2027 baseball prospect from Passaic County Tech studying construction with a plumbing focus. I'm entering my 4th year with the NJ Rising Rebels, coached by Tony Negrin of Delbarton School. I'm a utility player, primarily a catcher, but also play middle infield, third base, and corner outfield. I competed in several 16u and 17u events this summer. My pop time is 1.98 and I run a 6.9 60-yard dash. My catching skills help me excel in footwork and arm strength across the field. I take pride in my speed, especially in the outfield and on the bases. Offensively, I use all fields and focus on getting on base to use every part of my game. I’d love to connect.
