Personal Statement
My name is Demetriz Lewis Jr., a rising junior at El Cerrito High School in El Cerrito, CA. I've played baseball since I was five years old, and I absolutely love the sport. I work hard to maintain good grades while balancing the demands of being an athlete. When I'm not playing baseball, I enjoy working out, volunteering at local summer camps that serve underprivileged youth, and fishing. In 2016, my twin sister and I loss our dad. It forced our mom to become a single parent. The sacrifices she makes for my sister and I will never go unnoticed. She's taught me the value of dedication and hard work and how these qualities can lead to opportunities on and off the field. I look forward to what my future holds as a student-athlete at the collegiate level.
