DeMarco Johnson

Hello coaches, I'm DeMarco Johnson, a 6-4 guard who competes for the Elev8 Prelude Black club team and Santa Margarita Catholic HS. I enjoy challenges and I'm never going to take the easy way out, which is why I play for a top-level club and also why I'm at Santa Margarita, where Coach Bell demands shut-down defense and mastering fundamentals that we'll need throughout our careers. The academics are tough, too -- it's a top-40-in-the-nation college prep school. I play longer than my height because I have long arms and can jump out of the gym. I also take pride in my court sense and vision, basketball IQ, quickness, and my ability to beat people off the dribble or by hitting the open jumper. But most of all, I have a drive to succeed.
