Personal Statement
Daniel Artiles was born in Cuba, Havana, and left for Chile with hopeful parents at the young age of 2. I started learning English when I was 7, so when I arrived in this foreign country called The United States, I could have a clue and fit in with the elementary school kids. High school soon came, and I made the starting position in volleyball varsity three months into playing, making history in more than one place. First time winning a match in districts, I led and broke the record blocks in one season for Terra Environmental Research Institute at 62 Block Kills. During junior year, I decided to come to True North Classical Academy to further my academic knowledge and better coaching. Onto my second high school season and 3rd club season with a hot start.
