Personal Statement
My name is Cate Summerfield and I’m a 2027 catcher utility ranked 26th in Extra Inning’s Regional Catcher Lineup. I play Varsity Softball at Fishers High School (2024–present) and bring versatility, energy, and leadership to every team I’m part of. As a lefty slapper and aggressive base runner, I love putting pressure on defenses. Behind the plate, I’m a vocal leader who takes pride in controlling the game and supporting my teammates. Off the field, I’m active in Fishers Campus Life, Animal Alliance Club, and Pickleball Club. Whether I’m training, studying, or leading, I’m always working to improve. I’m looking for a competitive collegiate program where I can contribute, grow, and continue playing the game I love. I plan to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
