Personal Statement
I’m Caitlyn Russell, a right-handed pitcher, and batter from Natick High School, Class of 2026. In addition to pitching, I play 1st & 2nd bases, and I’ve been into softball since 2nd grade. My dream is to play in college, and I’m working hard to make that happen. Last year, I had an injury that kept me off the field for a while (I had surgery in Oct 2024), but it showed me how important it is to take care of your body. Now, I’m super into sports medicine—I want to study that in college to help athletes stay strong and healthy. I’m also really interested in animal-assisted therapy. As for my pitching, I throw a fastball, change-up, curve, and I’m working on mastering my drop. I love contributing to the team and will play wherever I’m needed!
