Bastien Leiseing Mingo

The discipline and perseverance required on the water and on the machine have taught me valuable lessons that shaped my character and approach to life and academics. I’ve learned that success isn’t always immediate and that it is the result of consistency and keeping your priorities straight. Rowing has allowed me to develop a sense of accountability, as each person’s own level of determination to be better translates into our success as a team. Also, the mental strength that I have developed has allowed me to embrace pain and has given me the understanding that without hurt and sacrifice, there is no growth. These lessons continuously shape my approach to overcoming obstacles and I am looking forward to using these experiences as I pursue my goals in the future.
