Ayana Goodwin

I started to play softball as a pitcher and focus on strong fundamental skills. Recently I found the great fun and challenge in playing infield. I can be great asset to the team with my flexible positioning. I was born and raised in Japan and am bilingual of Japanese and English. The martial art, Kendo, has been a big part of my childhood as well. It has taught me self-discipline and respect to others. I believe my mental strength is based on this practice. I’m a member of traditional Japanese drumming group and perform in the community. I'm proud of my background and believe in the diversity in our community. I would love to continue playing in college to meet my highest in skills and contribute to the team on and off the field.
