Avery Koonsen

I am a 6 rotation player who started at Pearland High School during my Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior season. My club team is Houston Stellar 17 Elite. I was voted 23-6A Newcomer of the Year for the 2022 season and for the AVCA 2023 watchlist. My athletic career started with playing softball at the age of 6, and playing at a high level until the age of 14 when I chose volleyball as my main sport. Also, when I was in 8th grade I broke my school's long jump record, jumping 16'8 at district. If I'm not playing Volleyball I'm most likely doing something active like pickleball or Crossnet with my friends and family. I love being competitive with the people I love on and off the court! Another, hobby I have is reading, and I love to read any type of romance novel.
