Personal Statement
I’m Ava Pickett and I am a defensive lacrosse player. I started playing lacrosse in the spring of 2022, and I immediately fell in love with the sport. My second year of playing, I was placed on the JV team, however, after two games I was pulled up to varsity. After the third game of being in varsity, I became a starter. I not only prioritize my athletic performance, but my academic performance as well. I take several honors classes and have earned myself a 4.35 GPA. I work hard to maintain my grades and consistently challenge myself academically.
