Personal Statement
Ever since I began playing sports at age 3 I have dreamed of playing in college. Most of my childhood I played ECNL soccer until 8th grade when I was introduced to volleyball. My passion for volleyball quickly grew and I knew I would have to work hard to achieve my dream. My parents are very supportive and taught me the value of hard work. In addition to skill and athleticism, playing sports has taught me life lessons such as leadership, working with others, hard work, and self-discipline. It has also taught me to be tough mentally and not be afraid to fail. Since I was introduced to the sport late I have had to work extra hard to get where I am today. Playing at the collegiate level will be challenging but I believe my positivity, hard work and dedication will be an asset to any program.
