Amanda Cruz

At the young age of eight I fell in love with volleyball. My dad was a coach for older high school girls, and I always dreamed that one day I would be on the court. I started to play volleyball when I was nine years old. Since I first stepped on the court I aspired to play at the collegiate level. Playing volleyball is not only a hobby to me, but a passion. I am a leader on the court, and I have great defensive skills. Academically I study hard and maintain a high GPA. School has always been a top priority. I want to play at a high level of competition while also achieving my dream of being a veterinarian. I hope I can continue being a role model for my younger brother. I want to show him anything is possible with hard work and dedication, and I want to make my parents proud.
