Alexa Cotto

I am a dedicated center back who is passionate about both soccer and academics. As a defender, my primary strengths lie in my ability to win 1v1 situations and my composure and strength on the ball. My speed allows me to make excellent recovery runs and shut down open space quickly. My leadership on the field is driven by a commitment to support my teammates. I take pride in encouraging others and creating a positive team dynamic. I am equally committed to my academics and enrolled in all honors classes. I am an active member of Health Occupations Students of America, Key Club, and I am part of my school's STEM Academy (Biomedical Engineering). I believe that my strong work ethic, both academically and athletically, will allow me to succeed in balancing the challenges ahead.
