Personal Statement
My name is Alaina Pollard. I am currently a Pin Hitter and Middle Blocker with a 10’ 6” approach vertical. During the 23/24 Sophmore school year, I played the Opposite Hitter position and by mid-season I moved to the Outside Hitter position and received the All-Tournament award and Most Improved Athlete award. During the 22/23 freshman year in high school, I received a starting position on the varsity team, was the #1 middle blocker on the team with 58 blocks for the season, and the #3 middle blocker in our region/division. I also participate in track in field in the Spring- 100m, 200m, and high jump - winning several awards for track meets in the region and a State Medal for high jump. At age 13, I received the 2022 AAU All-American award at the AAU Nationals in Orlando, FL.
