Aiden McCarthy

My name is Aiden McCarthy, a senior at South Plainfield High School with a 4.61 GPA. I’m an honors and AP student and have made the honor roll for seven years. I’ve been a varsity player for two years, and the experience has shaped me mentally and physically. After losing last year’s New Jersey North 2 Group 3 sectional final, winning it this year taught me the value of resilience. I finished the season with a 1.34 ERA and a .297 batting average, earning Cy Young and Iron Man awards, as well as All-GMC Red Division honors. I’ve also been named captain for next season. As a naturally self-motivated, competitive, and coachable athlete, I’m committed to pushing myself on and off the field to take my baseball career to the next level.
