Personal Statement
My name is Adison Welsh. I first fell in love with soccer at the age of four, while playing at the YMCA in Oldham County, Kentucky. Playing soccer growing up, created the passion that I have for the game. I love the camaraderie of my teams and the family environment. Soccer has taught me great life lessons, such as perseverance, overcoming challenges and how to bounce back mentally and physically when things go wrong. My coaches would describe me as a hard working, coachable teammate who is always willing to do what’s best for the team. I pride myself on being calm under pressure, even when my back is against the wall. I am looking for a school that has strong academic standards as well as a competitive, challenging soccer program.
