Personal Statement
My name is Abril Parker. I am an upcoming senior at Pioneer High School in Woodland, CA. I began my softball journey at 5 years old, and I could not imagine a life without it. Although the road to success has been difficult throughout the years, the positive and negative experiences taught me competitiveness, dedication, teamwork, etc. This sport has changed me socially, mentally, and physically, while also creating long-lasting relationships with my teammates, coaches, and mentors. This is why my love for the competitive game is so strong, making me want to continue my life playing softball at the collegiate level. However, academics are just as important to me, and with a 4.3 GPA, I am hoping to major in a math-related major. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
